AXIA Metal (1991 JP) Cassette Tape

AXIA Metal Cassette Description

When you listen to this tape, you won't believe that this was Axia's "entry level" metal tape. In fact, if you search you'll see that these tapes command similar and even higher prices than their higher end siblings, the  PS and the  AU series.
We're not saying it is better (it isn't), but it is rarer. We believe that the reason is that the buyers that were willing to pay the price of a metal tape, and since Axia offered 3 tiers at the time, more people opted for the midrange PS line.

There is a good reason Fuji and Axia tapes have a cult-like following, and we plea guilty to that as well.

This tape will take a 'beating' in terms of recording level without squinting once. A superb metal tape for the ages, and one that's quickly becoming a collectible rarity.

We have a few of the ultra-rare 20 minute version left, and we'll be happy to record one for you as a reference to what a sub $20 tape can sound.
We recommend the 682ZX that seems to bring out the best of this tape.
