Axia's "entry level" type II of the mid 90's is yet another obscure tape that shoots way over its price point.
Compared to the Maxell XLII, or the TDK SA, we prefer the Axia for rock and pop recordings. We find it more neutral and a little less fatiguing than the former. That said, they are similar in many ways, but the Axia is far more rare and collectible.
We only have a few of the (very) short versions left, but more are on the way!
