The Sony Pro DAT Plus PDP-C is Sony's professional-grade blank DAT tape, part of the PDP (Professional DAT Plus) series that was the preferred choice of recording studios, broadcast facilities, and field recordists throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. It features Sony's ultra-fine Crystal Art metal particle layer - the same high-quality formulation used in Sony's best consumer DAT tapes, but manufactured to tighter tolerances for professional applications. The PDP-C comes in a large rigid shatter-proof plastic case, standard for professional studio media, rather than individual consumer shrink wrapping.
