About the Sony DAT DT-R

The Sony DT-R is an earlier entry in Sony's consumer blank DAT tape range, featuring the anti-static lid and heat-resistant shell construction that became standard across Sony's DAT lineup. Like all Sony DAT tapes, it uses a metal particle formulation suited to DAT's helical-scan high-density recording. The DT-R is compatible with all consumer and semi-professional DAT decks operating in standard play (SP) mode.
