Up for sale is a top of the line Nakamichi ZX-9, widely regarded as one of the finest cassette deck ever made, in pristine condition; mechanically, electronically, and cosmetically.
This deck was fully restored in 2023 by the renowned Willy Hermann, and serviced again last month by Perry from Tapeheads, known as one of the best Nakamichi techs in the world.
Perry replaced 38 electrolytic capacitors, performed a transport lubrication, and did a full mechanical and electronic calibration using Nakamichi original calibration tapes and tools.
Perry's verdict was "This is basically a perfect ZX-9”!
Extremely low hours, heads show almost no wear.
Frequency response, noise, and W&F exceeding the already ridiculous factory specs.
Cosmetically near mint, with only a few nearly invisible imperfections.
