The Nakamichi Dragon needs no introduction. If you’re reading this, you already know exactly what you’re looking at.
This deck was meticulously rebuilt and finely tuned in October 2023 by one of the world’s foremost Nakamichi technicians, Willy Hermann. It has been restored to original factory specifications, has seen fewer than 100 hours of careful use since the restoration, and has been properly maintained throughout.
It includes an aftermarket Japanese wired remote control that provides full functionality equivalent to the original remote.
Cosmetically, the deck is in very good condition, with only minor age-appropriate imperfections visible in the attached photos. The remote shows a few scratches on its left side.
The original serial number tag was cleanly removed by a previous owner. However, the deck is documented on Willy Hermann’s service page with a verified serial number of 9078, identifying it as a mid-production unit. This places it beyond the early production run and avoids the known issues associated with early Dragon models.
