The Maxell Professional R-DA is Maxell's studio-grade blank DAT tape, designed specifically for professional master recording, broadcast, and critical archival applications. It uses Maxell's DAT Ceramic Armor metal particle formulation - coated to deliver 2,600 Gauss of magnetic energy - and is built to tighter manufacturing tolerances than the consumer DM series. Like all professional-grade DAT tapes, the R-DA comes in a large rigid protective case rather than individual shrink-wrapped packaging, as is standard for studio media.
