The DM-D was Maxell's answer to the growing demand for high-performance consumer DAT media that could match professional-grade reliability.

Its ceramic armor formulation minimises modulation noise and ensures stable tape running, making it a dependable choice for long sessions. Available in five lengths from 46 to 180 minutes - note that 180-minute tapes use a thinner substrate and are best suited for fixed studio decks rather than portable units.
