The Maxell DM is a consumer-grade blank DAT tape featuring Maxell's Superfine Ceramic Armor (CA) metal particle formulation - a refinement of their standard CA technology that produces smaller, more uniform particles for improved high-density recording accuracy. Like all Maxell DAT tapes, the DM uses a 5-layer construction with a smooth base film and dust-resistant backcoating, engineered for the precise helical-scan recording demands of the DAT format.
