About the KAO DAT RT

The KAO DAT RT is a consumer-grade blank DAT tape manufactured by KAO Corporation - a Japanese company whose magnetic media division was operated by Taiyo Yuden, one of Japan's most prestigious and technically precise manufacturers of recording media. Taiyo Yuden is perhaps best known internationally for producing what many considered the finest CD-R discs ever made, as well as the That's and Triad cassette tape brands. That same manufacturing discipline and quality control was applied to the KAO DAT RT line.
