This is a very good tape with a few caveats. The mechanism is reliable. The sound is clear and detailed without being overly bright. I personally would not use this tape for material with lots of bass like Hip Hop, Pop, or EDM as it doesn’t reproduce the low frequencies as well as type 1 and type 4 tapes. However, music that features acoustic instruments really shines on this tape. I will say that this is not the tape to record over many times. After 3 re-records on one of these, I did begin to notice the sound degrade slightly. For the right style of music and if you don’t plan to keep re-recording, this is an excellent tape.
